THE ART OF PATTERN RECOGNITION

 

 

Nationally, cardiac emergencies are a leading area of response for acute and critical care providers. As a medical professional, it is important to understand cardiac rhythms and act appropriately.

Course Description:

This fast-paced 8-hour course introduces you to the important skills involved in acquiring and interpreting 12-lead ECGs. It is presented in a casual and interactive manner that incorporates lectures with hands-on exercises that use hundreds of 12-lead ECGs.

Participating Students:

Participating students should have an understanding of basic and 12-lead ECG interpretation to obtain the greatest value from the course.

Course Objectives:

At the end of the course, you will have gained knowledge in:

•Infarct pattern recognition and localization

•Bundle branch blocks

•Wide complex tachycardia

•Electrolyte changes

Christopher Carleton has more than two decades of experience educating within emergency medical services, fire agencies, and hospital organizations. He specializes in educating on pediatric and adult topics in trauma,

medical, and cardiac emergencies. He provides a fun and informative environment while giving you skills that you can use on your very next patient.

 

Cost:

The cost for the course per student is $50 for non-KCEMS Council members.
