Levels of CPRs

There are several levels of CPR classes, take the correct level for you.

First Aid, CPR, and AED –  4 hours

Everyone should know basic first aid and CPR. This level is made for the general public.

This course is designed to meet OSHA requirements and teaches basic first aid, CPR, and AED skills such as giving CPR to an infant, child, or adult.

First Aid CPR AED is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives.

Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies. This course also teaches adult CPR and AED use.

Basic Life Support  (American Heart Association) 4 hours

Joining our EMT Course? This is the CPR Class you need.

BLS Healthcare Providers CPR. Certification lasts two years.

Covers the necessary skills of one & two-rescuer CPR for all ages.  Includes ventilation with a pocket mask, a bag-mask and oxygen, use of defibrillator (AED) and relief of airway obstruction.  Intended for the healthcare professional.

Fire District CPR Classes

Central Kitsap Fire

Free CPR and AED Training through Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue

Thanks to a generous donation from the Medic One Foundation and due to popular demand, CKFR has expanded its CPR program and will be offering free classes twice a month!  Classes are on Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings.

Class Size:  Limited to 20 participants.  Spots fill up quickly!

Class Duration:  Approximately 2 hours.

About the Training:

  • This class provides Hands-Only CPR and AED training
  • This class meets OSHA and WSHA requirements for those needing certification for their jobs
  • Students will receive a CPR card upon completion
  • This class does not teach Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (HCP) CPR
  • This class does not include First Aid training

Cancellations:  If you need to cancel, please call our office at (360) 447-3550 so that we can open up that spot for someone else.

South Kitsap Fire and Rescue

South Kitsap Fire and Rescue is pleased to offer public CPR and first aid classes.

Pre-registration & Prepayment (cash, check, or credit card) is required for all courses and can be accomplished during normal business hours either at our Headquarters station (1974 Fircrest DR SE, Port Orchard) or over the phone at 360-871-2411. Our instructors cannot accept payments at the class.

Adult/Child, CPR /AED, and First Aid ($40.00)

This 4-hour course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card. This instructor-led course teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrive. Skills covered in this course include first aid; choking relief in adults, as well as CPR/AED.

When:

CPR classes will be held every second Saturday in the odd months.
